When you need new cleaning products, your first thought is probably to run to the store and buy some. But the thing is, many commercial cleaning products contain harsh or toxic chemicals. Like Lana Jane Fox, Teresa from Home hello suggests using all-natural cleaning products.
One recipe that she swears by is her Grapefruit and Salt Bathroom Cleaner. She says, “Who doesn’t love to bathe or shower in an immaculately clean bathroom? If your shower or tub is looking pretty ugly with a lot of stubborn rust, all you have to do is use grapefruit and coarse kosher salt.” It’s that simple.
It can be all too easy to obsess over every small detail when you’re cleaning. If you’re not careful, you might find yourself cleaning a room over and over again. However, sometimes it’s better to do things once, step away, and move on.
Sharing her thoughts with Home Beautiful, Platinum Housekeeping suggests, “When you finish cleaning a room, close the door. Then, when you’ve finished cleaning every room, go back and inspect each one, leaving the door open when you’re happy with the result.” By doing this, you won’t end up getting stuck in a cleaning spiral.
